I usually post my morning sketches on Facebook because I can never take a decent photo of any of my sketches. So most of my sketches either end up tacked away somewhere on my shelf or sometimes will make an appearance on my Facebook page.
This morning I decided to play with PicMonkey which enabled me to edit my poorly photographed sketch and compensate slightly for the lack of my photography skills.
On a different note, today is a grey and overcast day, so if you’re craving more colour like I am right now then take a look at this:
Wouldn’t it be great to join in?
the festival of colours… every time I see pictures of it my thoughts go like this: I'd love to take pictures of this, but not a chance would I take my camera in there. and not a chance would I take myself in there. I didn't quit smoking to breath in that shit. how fricking conservative can you get????
happy saturday xx
That sites look great! Will def check it out!
I know exactly what you mean… the messier my sketch looks, the more I like it.
I just love loose lines like this!
Petra – I would definitely join in, never mind a bit of health hazard when you can get covered in all that colour
Linda – I don't know why I can only loosen up when I'm drawing in my sketchbook but there it is, I really want to relax a bit more when I'm drawing on an individual piece of paper as my drawing can get so stiff and I really don't like that any more, got to push myself more.
i love the way you sketch, but i to know what you mean about getting looser, i dont want my work to controlled, some people do it effortlessly
Thanks Lee, I've been working mainly in my sketchbook recently to really try and get used to drawing looser, I'll keep going this way as much as possible and hopefully I'll be able to draw in a same, relaxed way outside my sketchbook too
